These bars are scented wth the Lush Succulent fragrance oil which is described by the manufacturer as "a fresh and green mix of cucumber, vetiver, grass, honey, bamboo, geranium, sage, oak moss, and sandalwood." The soap is hand made of saponified pure olive oil, coconut oil, kokum butter, mango butter, sunflower oil, frangrance oil, tussah silk, mica colorants, and sodium lactate. Weight will vary from 4.8-5.5 oz.

So what IS felted soap? It’s soap that is covered with a layer of wool felt, in this case I used merino wool. With this soap I also used a technique called needle felting to apply the lupine flower. Felted soap provides a light exfoliating wrap, and is a natural wicking material that will help your soap last longer as long as it is not left in a puddle of water in between use. It will shrink with the soap and you will be left with a felt pad that can be used as a facial buff, a cleaning buff for your sink etc, place drops of essential oils to create a sachet to keep in clothing drawers or as a room freshener. The key to getting your soap to lather up is to submerge it in warm to hot water and massage it for several seconds.
