Event Navigation Shoreline, the quirky, eclectic punk-pop band from Toronto, Ontario Canada who recently signed to Boston-based label Stick Figure Records, release their fifth full-length album, Moth Night, on May 5th. The multi-faceted record is full of silvery pop hooks, macabre folk-pop rhythms, and an unexpected desert-grove backdrop. With all these warm and cool threads woven together, it’s an album for fans of early Talking Heads, The Shins, and The Head and the Heart, all rolled up into one tight package. Moth Night is available for pre-order now and will be available in stores May 5th. In a press release today, Shoreline frontman and songwriter Ryan Dilks says “Our fifth record is about the feeling of being a man, and trying to find a path through the thicket of life. It’s a record about taking risks, pushing boundaries, and maintaining one’s hopes, even when things get dark.” Moth Night is the first time Shoreline has worked with producer and engineer Drew Capper, whose discography includes work with The Fresh & Onlys, I Blame Coco, The Weakerthans, and Kyle Bobby Dunn. Moth Night sees Shoreline up on new ground, a piece of music where the instruments are all-inclusive, where the band’s innate sense of intuition and creativity are front and centre, and where the listener is left to play, feel, and wonder. The album was mixed by Jeremy Danial and mastered by Mark Meadows. It features artwork by Canadian painter, Tatiana Bomans, and was recorded and mixed at Dutton Studios, London, Ontario and Sounds of Post
